I Got Dressed 04

Michael and I had the best Sunday morning date!

Actually all we did was drop off Lydia at a friend's house, drive to church, watch the Provo City Center Temple dedication, and then go back to pick up Lydia!

But it still felt super weird slash fun slash relaxing to be just us two sitting together!

Necessary adjustments, you know.

So these are the comfiest shoes (sandals? heels? pumps?) ever. I spotted these at Nordstrom Rack back when I was teaching high school and tried really hard to convince Michael
that every girl needs a pair of bright blue shoes, obviously. Somehow it worked!
And surprisingly these end up matching with a lot.

Also it ended up being like 70 degrees today! HOLLER AT YOU, WORLD.

And a lovely goodbye pose for ya.

Halo Top, Bunny Ears, Sippy Cups, OH MY

I'll cut to the chase, this ice cream is bomb.

Like all normal people, I heart ice cream. But I don't want to eat it all the time
(well I kind of do, but...swimsuits), so herein lies a predicament.

Welcome, Halo Top! First of all, presentation is everything and this packaging speaks to my soul. Mint and gold and sans serif font! (I'm obnoxiously this excited and haven't even gotten to the ice cream yet.) So I have tried a few varieties of healthy ice creams, and they all are heavy on the "ice" and totally lacking on the "cream". Basically you try and convince yourself it's yummy and then 5 minutes later you still want a little something sweet. Look no further, Halo Top is the answer. It seriously tastes just like regular mint choco chip ice cream, but it's low calorie, really low in sugar (4g in a serving) and pretty high in protien! So basically it's like eating a salad, ya? ;)

Okay random rant over.

Blurry baby bunny ears pic. Why does Target always do it so right?
Also CHEEEEKS for days!!! This girl is a little more chipmunk than rabbit at this point
but I won't tell her.

Lydia (unsucessfully) trying to figure out her sippy cup. Our latest source of entertainment!

Haha close, love! :)

A couple really high quality pics showing off (purposely) the entirity of my braiding skills and showing off (not purposely) the exhaustion that is 7pm with a baby.

And sweetest husband award continues to go to... MC the studying machine!

I Got Dressed 03

Literally the comfiest dress on earth. Stretchy, stripey, turtlenecky perfection.
You can bend over one thousand times to pick up your daughter, meet with old friends who you haven't seen for years, sit on the floor criss cross apple sauce at your sister in law's
with enough fabric to let you not flash the world! Possibilities = endless.

And when the only pose you know is from 2009.

I Got Dressed 02

Home from church by 12 is pretty perfect.

Really really sunny, hence le squinty eyes ;).

LATER!

Because Matching

You have probably heard of Kortni Jeane and her fantastic swimsuits! All of her styles are super fun, and the prints are always adorable. My crazy talented sister Olivia is best friends with Kortni (they went to FIDM together in LA), and Olivia hand drew the prints for Kortni's new swim line!

Tell me these cactus prints aren't to die for??

Featuring our friend Libby's toes ;).

Lydia was surprisingly calm at the beach! She really did just lay there and feed herself a bottle, and then played around with toys and the sand. I thought for sure I'd be running sand-eating-patrol the whole time, but she just kept touching the sand on her hands and experiencing the texture.

I convinced Michael to jump in the freezing water with me at the end. Sweet husband award - he totally didn't want to haha! But you've gotta get in the ocean at least once when you're at the beach, right? This is us sprinting back to our towels, which was promptly followed by heading home and jumping in the hot tub :).

I Got Dressed 01

Tee and sneakers for a walk around Sugarhouse Park.

PS Don't mind me with my self clicker! ;)

A Little Lady Shop

A few weeks back Lydia was asked to show off some darling bows for A Little Lady Shop!

Tulips + bunnies + cute bows + cadbury eggs = goodness overload.

Jane, the sweetest 9 month old, was Lydia's baby friend during the shoot.
Then there were a few adorable older girls!

Lydia has basically never been around animals. Possibly due to the ridiculous but firm belief that Michael and I share in which pets are smelly, pooping, shedding creatures that will inevitably pee on your carpet and eat your couch. WHY WOULD YOU PAY MONEY FOR THEM and want them in your house? We will never understand. I do think some animals are really cute (i.e. bunnies), but I just could never own one. And yes I totally realize that people say the same exact thing about kids ;).

Anyway, Lydia was loving life with these new exciting moving "toys"! Both the babes were so curious and kept trying to squeeze the bunnies - us moms were standing just outside the frame and kept freeing the poor bunnies from their little fingers! Haha

And this CUTEST little striped romper is from the shop Everly B

How perfect is that little criss cross back??
Also it was amazingly soft. I am such a sucker for all things
comfy (or "yummy", as Michael makes fun of me for saying ;) ).

Thank you for letting us be a part of the Spring 2016 Collection, Marie
