Current Wish List (A Shirt Dress, Embroidery, Etc)

Summer is in full swing! Which means I'm allllll about the easy dresses (like a simple  shirt dress or a tank  velvet dress) because sometimes it's too dang hot for jeans. The problem is most of my throw-on-and-go dresses are not nursing friendly. So I rounded up some nursing friendly options that I've been eyeing! And of course a few other fun summery things. This is basically a big LOOK HERE poster to my husband for my birthday in a few weeks ;).

1. Embroidered Blouse ( here, also love  this and this). Is this not amazing? Pretty sure it could pass as a dress on us short people, and if not it would be adorable with white jeans.

2. Velvet Cami Dress ( here). How sweet with a little tee underneath! Love the simple ruffle.

3. Ribbed Teehere). All about the stripes. In fact I have to force myself to not buy stripes. It's kind of a problem.

4. Circle Earrings ( here). Very 70s Mod, and in my favorite color.

5. Embroidered Dress ( here). Ever since the Free People version of this dress emerged a few years ago I've loved it. This knock off is just as cute and has functional buttons up the front!

6. Cactus Shirthere). No secret, I'm obsessed with Madewell blouses. And cactus print rocks because Arizona.

7. Plaid Flathere). I have a similar pair of these in a black and white ikat and wear them all the time. The plaid is fun and different!

8. Beaded Tassel Drop Earringshere). Want. If I'd ever actually wear them, I'm not sure. But in my head I'd pull them off with jeans and tees on the daily ;).

9. Palm Tree Scarf here). All the heart eyes for this bandana trend.

10. Embroidered Floral Dresshere). How darling! This is the one dress here that's not inherently nursing friendly, but that neckline looks stretchy enough right?

11. Nursing Friendly Dresshere). Okay this awesome t-shirt dress was MADE with moms in mind! There's a hidden zipper down each side so you can just whip 'em out and nurse!

12. Red Shirtdress ( here). Timeless. LOVE.

13. Sail Away Teehere). I've been on the hunt for a cute graphic tee, but all of them have embarrassing slogans on them. This one manages to remain adult-worthy (read: NO 'I'm cuter than your ex' or 'always mimosas' or whatever.)

14. Metallic Sandals ( here). For some reason I'm not a Saltwaters fan. I know! Basically unforgivable. But these look slightly more elevated in my mind! And silver is a nice change of pace from my constant gold.

15. Pink Linen Skirthere). I WANT YOU BAD. I dream about skirts like these. K not really. But I feel like there is a major hole in the market for modest skirts. Maybe this will be my start-up business, who knows. Come summer we're either faced with mini skirts or maxi skirts, rarely cute knee-length stuff that doesn't make you look like you're going to church. Hence this skirt is amazing.

16. Neon Pumps ( here). Pretty sure these need to be in my closet and on my feet every Sunday. The Perfect Color.

There you have it - my current summery wish list.

PS Michael thinks I have a shopping problem.

PPS I think he's right.

PPPS I need to sell a TON! So look out for a giant insta stories selling party sometime soon!

Current Wish List

This whole pregnancy thing has been great in some regards and not so great in others. For instance, my booty is a lot more, um, spacious. (Or as Michael said last night, "it just takes up more surface area now" ???!?! Didn't know whether to slap him or laugh at that one - LOL.) But on the plus side, the temptation to shop has been at like a zero for the past 9 months! Because it's no fun to try on clothes when nothing fits quite right and there's extra junk in all sorts of trunks and you just wanna be back in skinny jeans again. So! I have created an imaginary (because: poor) wish list for all the clothes I want postpartum. Hint hint Michael if you are reading this, any of these would make awesome push presents ;).

1. Madewell split neck tee here. Their tops always fall just right. And I love the longer sleeve and deeper cut of this olive one, or the stripe version here.

2. Made by Mary initial charm necklace here. When Lydia was born Michael got me this necklace with an L on it and I literally haven't taken it off since. It's still in perfect condition! So I want to add Baby Boy's letter of course. (If someone knows what letter that should be please fill me in!! Boy names are hard.)

3. Anthro jumpsuit here. I love me a good one-and-done outfit, and this one is nursing friendly too!

4. Free People ruffle tee here. I'm of course praying for miracles, but chances are I will not have a six pack by April. So the flowy cut of this one seems perfect for those in between weeks (months...).

5. Madewell roadtripper jeans here. It's no secret that my sisters and I are all obsessed with Madewell jeans. They always look FANTASTIC. So I think this new stretchier, lighter, softer pair would be a postpartum dream come true.

6. Roolee denim jumpsuit here. Again, jumpsuits are such an easy way to look put together.

7. Roolee moto leggings here. The color of these is so different and cute! And if I haven't said it enough yet I'm clearly all about comfort.

8. Zella high waisted leggings here. I love my Zella leggings since they're thicker and more sucky-inny than regular cheap cotton ones. But they hit right at my hips and gave me some yummy muffin tops right after I had Lydia. I really want to try this high waisted version!! All the reviews look awesome and it'd be nice to have something suck in my tummy after this guy comes.

9. and 10. J.Crew taffeta skirt here matching top here. This is one of those totally impractical but totally awesome dream outfits. All the heart eyes for neon pink buffalo check.

11. Piper & Scoot drawstring skirt here. I love easy skirts! Especially in the summer heat. Tuck in a loose striped tee and bam! Done.

12. J.Crew pom pom flats here. HOW FUN. I'm a flats girl through and through. They make any outfit instantly look classier. Also in love with this incredible blue color here.

13. Target playful sandals here. As much as I love the look of strappy lace up sandals in summer, when it comes right to it I just want to throw on easy slides and go. Last year I lived in gold slides, the year before I lived in my birkenstocks, and these funky ones would still be a breeze to slip on (I know, lazy) and they'd make any outfit instantly cooler!

Here's to dreaming of warmer weather and having a baby in my arms, not my uterus! Or as Lydia thinks, my belly button.

Current Wish List

FALL!!! I am stoked for fall this year for so many reasons. One, Lydia can actually enjoy it! She loves being outside and I think the leaves changing and the crisper air will be fun for her. But more importantly (kidding, sort of) fall means cute clothes! I've decided dressing a bump in fall/winter months will be a BREEZE compared to summer bumpin. That, my friends, stunk. Because really what can you do in the summer except wear the thinnest tee shirts you can find and pretend that jean maternity shorts are actually somewhat flattering (they're not) and just want to die. But fall equals layers!! Leggings, cardigans, cozy sweaters, hats - it all adds up to some pretty awesome maternity looks. Here's a few things I've been eying lately, mostly not maternity but could definitely work, bump or not. (Also I'm not completely sartorially illiterate - these aren't all meant to be worn simultaneously...)

1. Cozy maroon cardigan - I love the look of an oversized open cardi that can go over anything. And this one looks ridiculously comfy!

2. Practically perfect striped tunic - THIS IS LIFE. I kind of need this.

3. Flat felt hat - I'm a little hat obsessed but most of mine are bigger and floppier. I like the short and stiff brim here.

4. MAC Edge to Edge lip liner - So I always thought lip liner was hilariously unnecessary, and maybe it is, but I've started using a mauve one and it really makes my lipstick stay in place. This dusty pink color is so pretty!

5. Ruffle sleeve dress - How adorable is this?? And I like that it's long enough for a bump! Throw on a cardigan and some cute tights and it's winter-worthy.

6. Wine clogs - Clogs have been around for a few years but I've never been brave enough to wear them. Now that they're finally old news I think I could give em a go! And this color is fantastic.

7. H&M maternity jeans - I actually bought a couple pairs of H&M maternity jeans last time around - they were great, just a bit too big now. These are a good price and cute wash.

8. Olive zip up cardigan - Like I mentioned, I'm pretty big cardigan enthusiast. I like this unexpected zipper detail and beautiful color!
