A few weeks ago I decided it would be very patriotic of me to bake a pie!
Granted, I kind of suck at making desserts. But hey! Worth a shot.
It takes quite a lot of concentration to stir sugar and butter, as you can see ;).
I cheated and used a store-bought crust because in the past I've made my own, but I feel like they turn out sooooo similar that it's not worth it to me.
(Pie experts will LOUDLY disagree. Sorry pie people.)
Voilá! Apple pie!
I used this recipe here and followed a lot of the suggestions in reviews. Also, it definitely was too runny right out of the oven, but the next day was perfect. So in the future I'll make it a day ahead!
