A Little Lady's Day

Our days go a little something like this:

6:30am wake up call from Lydia
futile attempts to get her to fall back asleep in bed with me
riding the purple bus up and down the couch
stacking and knocking down blocks
oatmeal or cereal or pancakes
clean up
cuddling and books
aimless target run to get my mind off being sick
drive home, make cheese crisps
ketchup everywhere
books again
nap
me falling asleep on the couch
Little Miss Energy!
walk to the park, eat sand
detour on walk home for soda
more books
throw all tupperware on floor
try to sit in tupperware
fall over whilst attempting to jump on said tupperware
cries and cuddles
ipad ABC game
making dinner with a toddler clinging to my pants
look out the window for dogs and Daddy
playtime with Daddy!
tickle giggle wrestle kisses
dinner
bath and dishes
clean baby snuggles and fresh pjs
mother goose club singing show
even more books (never enough for Little Miss Lyd)
bottle brush teeth prayers songs
BEDTIME WE SURVIVED ANOTHER DAY
(clean clean clean clean clean clean clean)

It is the weirdest phenomenon that I can do pretty much "nothing" all day and still be this exhausted ;). Though it definitely doesn't look like it when you write it all out, this stay at home mom business is tough work! I read an article somewhere that said a stay at home mom's salary would be equal to $100,000 a year or something based on all they do (tutoring, day care, chef, chauffeur, house cleaning, counseling, etc). I believe it!

PS Lydia is obsessed with Chatbooks. Best $8 a month! She loves pointing at Mama and Dadda and giving kisses every time she sees herself, haha.

PPS How adorable is this headband c/o A Little Lady Shop?? Thank you!
