Taking advantage of the last of these warmer nights!
I have this bizarre infatuation with my stroller. Michael will tell you that was hands down the baby item I was most excited about. So naturally we had to buy all the nifty extra parts, hence we've had the second seat since Lydia was like 6 months old (and wayyy before we got pregnant again), ha! But it comes in handy during babysitting :).
My favorite little pjs I scored at DI!! (The brand is Baby Gap - I'm sure at least a few years old - for those who asked from my Instagram Story.)
We love watching the med school intramural football games!
City Creek date night :).
Things have been fairly rosy around these parts! I'm trying to soak it all in and savor every happy piece since I know this could change at any moment. But definitely feeling grateful for all the good things going on. Here's the lowdown from the past few weeks!
Thorns:
- Adjusting to having a full-time WALKER! And by full-time I literally mean she does not sit still anymore. (The patient women behind us at Women's Conference can attest to this - bad idea to bring your 1-year-old. NEVER. AGAIN.)
- Our front room blinds are broken so we have almost no natural light upstairs, which is killing me! I very much loathe yellow lights - so much so that for Mothers Day a few years ago in our old apartment Michael switched out all our light bulbs to white lights in the middle of the night! So adorable right?! So since our current lights are as yellow as mustard I am kind of going crazy without functioning blinds.
Roses:
- FALL! I keep saying this, which is annoying I'm sure, but I'm really stoked for fall this year; weather, leaves, clothes, scents - I'm in love!
- Lydia has all of a sudden become this little toddler! Aka life just got a thousand times more fun. We can have little conversations with her, we can play games with her, Michael goes on Daddy-Daughter dates with her every couple weeks, it's the best!
- On a similar thread, Lydia's new thing is to cover her face and play peekaboo with me through the review mirror while I'm driving - melts my heart every time!
- Those nachos. See pictures above. If you are ever at City Creek food court with three or four people, everyone pitch in a few bucks and get the full sized platter of nachos at Red Iguana - totes delish and ENORMOUS. JalapeƱos and guac and beans and meat and all sorts of goodness. Michael bought that as his solo dinner before we realized how huge it was. (PSA don't get the red enchiladas - weirdly gross?? Like I don't know how you mess up an enchilada but it was bizarre.)
- Last but not least, I've had a lot of energy back which is SUCH a game changer! And such a blessing that Lydia wasn't this active a few weeks ago when I was on the couch 24/7. Just as she is starting to really sprint everywhere, I'm able to keep up. So helpful.
And that's a wrap!
